Synchrolifts was started by Heavy Lift legend Bernard Davies in 1992. In 1995 he sold the company to Byggwik.

We undertake projects that interest us. You will see examples of the type of project that we enjoy. During the 1990s we developed a reputation for taking on the very technical jobs that no one else would entertain. These included a 2 ton tomb lid under a church, sliding a bridge over the A1, lifting a pair of 100 ton steam drums in a nuclear power station, lifting rail bridges over "live" rails on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, a 300m long roof section on the steel works and even delivering a 300kg chocolate sculpture safely to a surprise birthday party.
